Rules and Regulations Notice
Rules and regulations are subject to change as the game continues through it's developement. Accepting these rules will accept the acknowledgement of the possibility for rules to be changed and added.
Multiple Accounts
Multiple accounts are allowed as long as the following conditions are met.

    • The accounts are played as separate people.
    • Cars, and/or bullets are not passed through each other.
    • The accounts are not in the same mob.
    • Only one account may hold a casino, property, and/or mob. (Further explanation: You must choose which account is the 'holder'. The 'holder' may own a mob and property, a mob, or just a property; but no other of your accounts may hold a mob or property.)
    • The accounts may not commit organized crimes together.
    • None of the accounts may gamble or purchase items from an other account's property.
    • You may transfer game cash.
    • You may transfer divine coins due to them being purchased with real money.

If you do not follow the conditions mentioned above your account may be subject to a permanent ban or an instant death by a Notorious Dons Staff member with the explanation of “Blurring Accounts”. A staff member will determine the appropriate force of action.
Family Accounts
We at Notorious Dons recognize that families do play the game together. Due to the fact of how impossible it is to tell the difference between accounts in the same household (this include room mates, etc, whomever shares your IP address), families must follow the Multiple Accounts rule. Too add; real life friends will also be added into the family accounts/multiple accounts rule. If you share an IP with a friend at any time, you should follow the list of things not to do.

Staff will fully research all suspected shared IPs to the best of their ability. If we see the rules of shared IPs has been broken we will take action on said accounts. We may leave one account unbanned with a minor punishment, but the account is chosen at random and the punishment is whatever is decided by the one which researched the suspicion.
Account Sharing
Account sharing is prohibited. If you are caught sharing your password or any other information to get ahead in the game, your account will be perminantly banned. Nor may you give your account to another person. If you wish to get rid of your account, you can submit a support ticket and request to be killed by a member of the staff.
Laundering
All types of laundering is not permitted. If you are caught laundering bullets, cars, or anything of value between blurring accounts (this includes multiple launderers) you will be temporarily banned on the first count, and permanently banned if laundering continues consecutively.

An example of laundering is ...
    • Receiving bullets from an account to send to another account.

The longer the chain, the longer the temporary ban. Trying to clean your valuables to get around the blurring rule will not be tolerated for anyone.
Account Selling
For those with multiple accounts that are not blurring, if you have multiple accounts and wish to get rid of any of the extras, you cannot sell your account. Selling an account is considered blurring and could cause you to be banned from the game or the money to be removed from your account. If you are tired of your extra accounts, please submit a support ticket to have them killed by a staff member.
Account Identity Theft
Stealing the identity of a player is forbidden. Account Identity Theft in definition making an account that looks similar to an existing alive account. Such as; adding extra spaces, using 1 to replace l, etc. Notorious Dons Staff reserves the right to delete, kill, ban, or rename the fake identity account.
Spamming
Spamming the forums, inboxes, live chat, or IRC will result in a temporary account ban for the account involved. If you have been caught spamming several consecutive times, you will be banned perminantly.
Harrassment
Players are not to commit harrassment in any form. Harrassment can be as small as a disrespectful comment and as big as a rude username. First time minor harrassment will result in a temporary ban. The more you harrass, the longer the ban. The exception to this is if you have made a username as a form of harrassment, then that username will be killed.
Hacking
If there is an error in the code, Notorious Dons will return whatever is lost if it's proven to have been our mistake. As of December 2006 there is nothing insecure about our code to allow hacking. Account hacking in 99% of the cases are the players fault. To make sure your account is safe, you may check the following.

    • Your password is secure, mixing letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • Do not give out your password or email.
    • Do not save your password on your browser.
    • Do not write your password down on paper.
    • Do not save your password on an insecure file.

If you have lost anything due to being hacked, we will not replace it. It is also suggested that you change your password often and do not use a free email engine. You are responsible for the security of your account outside of the database. We will never ask for your password, nor do we know it. All passwords have been encrypted.
Cheating
Cheating in online computer games is a broad category of activities, all of which are generally regarded as modifying the game experience in a way that gives a player an unfair advantage over the other players. Depending on the game, different activities constitute cheating, as it is often a matter of consensus opinion.

Some things that are as a example of possibly cheating are the following :

1. Using a third party application to automate task for you.
2. Using things such as auto refreshing to get a advantage over another user who plays the game that it is ment to played. Such as you the user of notoriousdons.net or the person clicking the links within the game and not another application.
3. Exploiting :

Types of exploits

* Duping
* AFK gaming and use of bots
* Hacking
* Use of "known bugs"
* Unintended effects of the programming.

In computer security, an exploit is a piece of software, a chunk of data, or sequence of commands that take advantage of a bug, glitch or vulnerability in order to get unintended or unanticipated behavior out of computer software, hardware, or something electronic (usually computerized).

Mob Properties
Mobs are limited to one type of property per mob. Code has now been put into effect to prevent this from happening except on one condition. If it does happen, more code is in effect to give the owners an opportunity to sell their property to reduce their mob back to the one type limit.
Scamming
If a player is caught scamming another player in any way, their account will receive a temporary ban.
Off Topic Advertising
Advertising other games and/or web sites is permitted if you retain them to the Off Topic Forum or a mail to a single player. Spamming or mass mail will result in a permanent ban. Posting off topic advertisement in the wrong forums will be deleted on sight of a Forum Moderator.
Staff
All Notorious Dons Staff are to be considered an authority. Players that disrespect members of the staff will be given warnings. If the staff harassment continues, the player will be temporarily banned. Harassment includes; bashing, spamming, cursing, and obscure accusations. There's a support center for all questions, use this first instead of a staff member's inbox.

Members of staff will enforce the rules written here as well as any unwritten rules that come by circumstance. Players must understand that some situations may require rules or regulations not written in the Rules & Regulations and it is up to the staff to make a judgment on the matter.

To include, the Notorious Dons Staff may not take advantage of their position in any way. If a staff member is caught being corrupt in any way, they will put under a review by the developers Orion and LadyDivine and possibly fired.
Notorious Dons E-mail
Notorious Dons Developers reserve the right to send e-mail involving the game and the game's direct affiliates. Your e-mail address will not be given out to any other company, site, or person.
